This session discusses the numerous and varied effects of grief in the workplace. Sample topics include workplace grief culture, timelines and expectations, and how to make your workplace a supportive space for grief, while also offering guidance on how management and co-workers can provide practical and intentional support to one another.

Grief, Year 2 and Beyond
Most grieving workshops focus on the immediate aftermath following a death. This session provides insight into Year 2’s unique and often surprising challenges, and also delves into what grievers are, or might expect to experience, well beyond the early timeline of their acute grieving period.

Understanding Grief as a Frontline Worker
Much is expected from frontline workers who often volley between supporting and mediating crises’ of patients/clients, their own trauma and grief. This session explores topics such as cumulative and disenfranchised grief, secondary trauma, and grief related to both death and non-death losses, in the frontline institutional context.

Secondary Losses: Domino Effect of Grief's Primary Loss
A residual effect from a primary loss (either death or non-death related), secondary losses often go unrecognized with their significance overlooked. This session identifies the myriad of secondary losses, describes how they reconcile to the overwhelming grief from a primary loss, and illustrates support mechanisms.

Circles of Grief Support: How to Support Others
Does your occupation have you supporting clients who are grieving? Are you supporting a friend or relative who is dealing with loss? This session will provide you the tools to better understand grief and will result in you being more confidently equipped to support the people around you who are grieving (either death and/or non-death losses).

Grieving Over the Holidays
This session helps grievers navigate and prepare for the upcoming holidays. Useful information and tips on how to manage and cope with expectations, traditions, and the increased heaviness surrounding death loss during the holidays.

This session reviews the MAiD request process, discusses the uniqueness of MAiD grief, disenfranchised grief, the possible social awkwardness experienced after MAiD, and stigmatized grief.

This session covers topics on advance care planning, death care in Ontario, creating personal comfort plans, vigiling, opening conversations, legacy projects, celebrations of life, grief and bereavement.

Let's Talk About Grief
This is a professionally facilitated discussion group where grievers comes together to receive a companioning model of peer-to-peer grief support. Participants can ask questions, discuss specific scenarios, and talk about their losses, all while receiving and offering support to others in the session.
